Live detailed tracking multiple devices [Long Term] (example)

Stealing an example from Google Local, this is the fantasy detailed live tracking map that I envision:

You have 10 - 15 devices that can be tracked at once on the same map.

You have a large map on the right, with each device shown using a different color pin. The pins can have letters so you can use the colors over.

On the left you have detail for each pin that could include:
Name of Pin/Device?
Current Lat/Long? of Device
Speed and heading of device
Battery strength
Current physical address of device (Google will do from Lat/Long?)
Short comment for device (in device info DB, could be cell # for example).

If you make this screen you will have a heck of a marketable product for just about any small commercial shipper, courier, taxi company, police department, school bus company or other entity that needs to do logistics/fleet tracking.

Poss enhancements after implementation: User may have more than 10 - 15 devices in profile but there would be checkboxes for each device to say if it shows on map or not. User would be allowed to choose any 10 - 15 of however many they have. This will allow user to reconfigure their fleet if some vehicles are down or not in use on a particular day.

Getting excited by the possibility yet, or just dreading how much work it would be to implement?? :o)
