MoosTrax is now available in the App Store.

Setup

• Visit the App Store and search for moostrax.
• Install the application.
• Find the MoosTrax icon and touch it.
• You will be prompted to enter your login information.
  • If you have signed up for MoosTrax, enter your username/password.
  • If you haven't signed up, touch the register button or go to MoosTrax.com and register.
• After you have logged in successfully, you will be at the main screen, My Location.
• To configure various settings for MoosTrax, touch the settings tab.

Settings

Conserve Battery

Conserve Battery, when enabled, will only turn GPS on if your location has changed significantly. It turns on cell tower/wifi location and when it detects your location may be changing (you are on the move) GPS will be turned on to pinpoint your location. The advantage of this is GPS won't be on all the time, and will greatly conserve battery.

If you have disabled conserve battery, GPS is used and may drain your battery much faster. Use this option if you want great accuracy for a short amount of time.

Distance Filter

By setting a distance filter MoosTrax will only update your location when it has changed by at least the distance specified in meters.

Accuracy Filter

MoosTrax will only update your location if the accuracy is at least the value specified in meters.

NOTE: Depending on your environment, high accuracy may not be achievable and may result in very few updates. It is recommended that a value of 50-150 is used.

• Sometimes after restarting the phone MoosTrax may drain the battery more than usual. This is fixed in 1.0.1. (Estimated Release date 8-12-10)
